The Prostate Health Education Network, Inc., (PHEN) is a non-profit organization. PHEN's primary mission is to increase prostate health education and awareness among the men at highest risk for prostate cancer in the United States, African Americans.
Challenge
Spotlight's team was retained as event planners for the Prostate Health Education Network (PHEN), to coordinate its annual African American Prostate Cancer Disparity Summit on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.
Response
- Planned the entire event from handling logistics, executing program layout, and PR
- Coordinated Congressional appearances and VIP's
- Nominated PHEN for the "Champion in Healthcare Award," which was awarded by the Boston Business Journal
- Successfully garnered media interviews for the Executive Director and Congressional members, resulted in 12 million national listeners on radio!
Result
The Summit was successfully held in partnership with Senator John Kerry (MA) and Congressman Gregory Meeks (NY). Spotlight and PHEN have also recently collaborated to launch PHEN- TV, which can be seen on their website (www.Phentv.com).
