Hailed by The Boston Herald as "Boston's Public Relations Princess," Tomeeka brings a wealth of experience, fresh dynamism, and ingenuity to Spotlight Communications. The industry has taken notice: Tomeeka recently received the Boston Business Journal's prestigious "40 under 40" award and she was named one of “30 Extraordinary Bostonians” by the Boston Event Guide. She has also spoken at the Boston Globe, the Ad Club Foundation, Boston College, Salem State College, and UMass Boston, among others.
Tomeeka has led PR campaigns and coordinated events for corporate leaders such as Commodore Builders, Design Continuum, The Massachusetts Health Data Consortium, The Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, Paradigm Properties and Reebok. She has also worked closely with celebrities, including Venus Williams, Celtics legends KC Jones and Satch Sanders, and NBC Sports announcer Bud Collins.
She is a 2006 graduate of the UMass Boston Emerging Leaders Program (ELP), and currently serves on the Board of the ELP Alumni Executive Council. She was recently appointed by Governor Deval Patrick to the Board of the Massachusetts Children's Trust Fund. Tomeeka enjoys volunteering at the West End House Boys & Girls Club, and Teen Voices, a journalism mentoring and leadership program for teen girls.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Boston College, and a Master of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and Public Affairs from American University.
